I visited the Oswestry Fire Station and was met by Deputy Chief Fire Officer Andy Johnson, Station Manager Simon Roberts and Watch Manager Adrian Bowen. After a tour of the Station, during which I met a number of the firefighters on duty, I watched a fire drill in a simulated burning building performed by two firefighters. The attention to detail and the emphasis on safety were impressive to see, as was the sense of enthusiasm and professionalism exhibited by the whole team.
