Veronica and I visited Tickwood Care Farm near Much Wenlock. It is a charity founded by Edward and Anna Dugdale using their working farm which offers those suffering from learning difficulties, mental illness and physical handicaps the chance to explore the natural world through a range of activities, all sited on the farm. These include gardening, jam & chutney making, animal husbandry, woodland management, sensory and fossil trails, forest school and wheelchair woodland walks. We were shown round by Edward Dugdale and were extremely impressed both with the facilities on offer and with the enthusiasm shown by all involved. See tickwoodcarefarm.org for further information.
