Veronica and I visited Linstrand Technologies in the Mile Oak Industrial Estate at Oswestry. We were met by Lorna Hankey, who had kindly organised the visit, and Lee Hooper, a senior executive in the firm, who took us on a tour of the plant. We were impressed with the quality of the finish on the hot air balloons, the research into new products (eg valves) and with the wide variety of applications for which related products are used (temporary aircraft hangars, roofs for buildings etc.).
