At the invitation of Superintendent Tom Harding, Commander of Telford & Wrekin Policing Area, Veronica and I attended a “Commendation and Awards Evening” in Telford. Assistant Chief Constable Martin Evans and Chief Superintendent Charles Hill were present and helped present awards. Over 30 serving police officers and two members of the public received various awards for bravery or exceptional detective work during the last year. We were extremely impressed by the police response to the cases involved, and we greatly enjoyed this excellent ceremony marking exceptional acts by individual police officers.
