At the invitation of Mr Iain Gilmour,  Veronica and I attended the Rotary Tree of Light Service at St Mary’s Church, Shrewsbury organised by the three Rotary Clubs in Shrewsbury. These organisations do much charitable work within Shrewsbury and more widely within Shropshire, and the purpose of the evening was to raise funds for three charities, the Midlands Air Ambulance, the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital League of Friends and the Shropshire Recovery Partnership. We had addresses from Colin Sharp, President of the Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club and Mandy Thorne, past president of Shrewsbury Darwin Rotary. The choir Of One Accord sang beautifully, and we enjoyed the service greatly despite the bitter cold.
