The Shropshire Rural Community Council are now The Shropshire Rural Community Charity and this was an event to recognise the efforts of the volunteers in the Good Neighbour Schemes that they support.   There were presentations on staying fit and healthy, PR, and a great talk by Ian Wallace who has been one of the key drivers behind Men in Sheds Shropshire.  It was very interactive with some lively discussion about the issues that face the county’s ageing population face and how to enable people to stay in their own homes longer.
