RAF Shawbury and the RAF Falcons parachute team

Veronica and I attended the Autumn Reception at RAF Shawbury on Thursday 7th September 2017. The Station commandant, Group Captain Norris, explained the history of the base from its formation as a Royal Flying Corps airfield in 1917 and the plans for the future. We enjoyed some splendid singing from the Military Wives Choir and a very impressive parachute descent in bracing wind conditions from the RAF Falcons parachute display team.
