The Hon Mrs Justice Carr, DBE, Presiding Judge on the West Midlands Circuit, kindly invited the High Sheriffs of the counties forming part of the West Midlands circuit to tea in her rooms in the Royal Courts of Justice in the Strand.  It was an excellent occasion for most of us to meet her and a good opportunity to meet other High Sheriffs from the Midlands.

Following tea, we attended Evensong in the Temple Church. It is a beautiful church, and the choir was excellent.

We were then entertained to a splendid dinner by the Inner Temple in their Hall. It was an extremely enjoyable occasion and an opportunity to meet other High Sheriffs and senior members of the Inner Temple.
