The High Sheriff and his wife attended a Gala Evening to celebrate achievements across South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The POD Awards (Positively Different Staff Awards) are in recognition of staff aiming to provide outstanding mental health, learning disability and children’s services nationally regionally and to local communities. They aim to make a positive difference to the wellbeing of all who use the services, their families, careers and communities. The evening was held at the Staffordshire County Showground where well over 200 guests attended the awards ceremony.  With resounding musical help by ‘Sliding About’ Jazz quartet the Awards presentations were led by Birmingham Weather Girl, Emma Jesson. Various celubrious guests were invited to present each award amongst great pomp and circumstance, eluding to the high regard in which these awards are held and highlighting the unstinting devotion and dedication of all staff members across the board.  It was a truly splendid celebration!
