Telford and Wrekin Council, in association with Telford Christian Council, invited the High Sheriff and his wife to their annual Civic Carol Service held in the Oakengates Theatre @ ‘The Place’.  Music was provided by pupils of Abraham Darby Academy in Madeley, the ‘Abraham Darby Showband’. The event is held to raise money for the Mayor’s Charity Appeal. This year `mayor, Cllr Malcolm Smith, has chosen the money raised to go to Telford & Wrekin Arthritis Support Group.
