Telford College kindly hosted the High Sheriff’s Outstanding Young Citizens Award Ceremony in their Sports Hall. As in previous years, we had a very good selection of strong entries. The nominees, a third boys and two third girls, ranged in age from 7 to 19 years old, and nominations covered a wide range of activities with the emphasis on voluntary work and help within the family. The choice of overall winners was particularly difficult given the number of excellent entries, but I finally decided upon Rebecca Woolley and Ewein Howes as winners within the Borough of Telford & Wrekin and the area of Shropshire Council respectively.
