Veronica and I visited Harper Adams University near Newport. We were received by Vice-Chancellor Dr David Llewellyn and University Secretary Dr Catherine Baxter, who gave us an interesting and instructive briefing on the past development and future prospects for the university. We then had a tour of the university’s impressive facilities, which served to emphasise the hi-tech nature of the study and research being carried out at Harper Adams, as well as the extensive links with different types of industries involved in agriculture.
