At the invitation of Cllr Syephen Reynolds, Veronica and I attended Telford & Wrekin’s Civic Ceremony to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day in the presence of the Vice Lord-Lieutenant. This year’s theme was “The Power of Words”. We heard a moving poem entitled “No Name” written and read by two year 10 pupils from Madeley Academy and a powerful talk by a lady of Jewish descent, most of whose family were killed in Nazi concentration camps. It was a moving ceremony attended by many representatives of local civic groups.
